The 12 oz. Japanese denim has that perfect raw stiffness that softens just enough after a few wears, and the medium rise feels spot-on. The slight taper from the knee keeps the straight leg from looking boxy, which I really appreciate.

The button fly takes a little work the first week, but the way these break in is worth it. I love that the straight leg keeps a clean line while that slight taper from the knee makes them feel modern. The top-dyed indigo is already starting to fade in the creases, exactly what I hoped for.
